Marai + Stripe
The Marai integration with Stripe lets you charge a deposit or the full price before each appointment. Payments are processed securely with PCI-DSS Level 1 certification, cancellation refunds are automatic and money goes directly to your bank account. Marai charges no additional commission on payments.
What is the Stripe payment integration? It is a direct connection between Marai and the Stripe payment gateway that automatically charges your clients when they book an appointment. Supports credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. Funds are deposited directly into your bank account.
Two payment modes
Deposit (partial advance)
Charge a percentage at booking — for example 30%. The client has a financial commitment to the appointment: they show up or lose the deposit. You collect the rest at the end of the service. Configurable per service.
Full payment in advance
The client pays 100% of the service at booking. Ideal for high-value treatments, new clients or businesses with a high cancellation rate. Virtually eliminates no-shows.
How does it work?
Connect your Stripe account
From the Marai dashboard, click "Connect Stripe" and follow the wizard. If you already have a Stripe account, it links in 2 minutes. If not, Marai guides you through creating one. You only need your ID and bank details.
Configure your payment policies
Decide how much to charge at booking: partial deposit (your chosen percentage) or full payment. Define your cancellation and refund policy. You can have different policies per service, professional or client type.
Clients pay when booking automatically
When a client books from the portal, WhatsApp or your website, they are asked to pay before confirming the appointment. The charge is processed securely via Stripe. You receive the money directly in your bank account.

Does Marai charge any commission per payment?
No. Marai charges no commission on payments. You only pay the standard Stripe fee, which is 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction in Europe. This is the most competitive rate on the market for card processing.
Do I need a Stripe account already?
Not required. If you don't have a Stripe account, Marai guides you step by step through creating one during setup. The process takes less than 10 minutes and includes identity verification and bank details.
Can I charge only a deposit instead of the full price?
Yes. You can configure the deposit percentage you want per service: 20%, 30%, 50% or 100%. You can also set different policies by service type or professional.
What happens to the money if the client cancels?
You decide the policy: full refund if they cancel with sufficient notice, partial retention if they cancel outside the window, or no refund. Marai executes refunds automatically according to the rules you configure.
When do I receive the money in my bank account?
Stripe deposits funds directly into your bank account. The standard cycle in Europe is 2 to 7 business days. You can check payment status at any time from the Marai dashboard or the Stripe Dashboard.
